Разработаны специально для кПЦР.
Изготовлены из специфической смеси полипропилена (O-type — Low Binding, Low Adhesion), разработанной и оптимизированной специально для количественного ПЦР, обеспечивающей антистатический эффект и низкую связываемость с молекулами ДНК, РНК, белками, что особенно важно при детекции низкокопийных образцов, а также для масимальной сохранности образца при хранении. С матовой внешней поверхностью — для усиления соотношения сигнал/шум при проведении полимеразной цепной реакции в режиме реального времени (Real-time PCR).
Для некоторых ABI термоциклеров обязательно требуется использование SFG-решетки с каталожным номером AB19805G. Комбинация данной плашки с SFG-решеткой AB19805G позволяет использовать этот продукт с любым термоциклером ABI, Life Technologies ®, 0.1 ml (q)PCR cyclers (fast models), в то время как в комбинации с SFG-решеткой B17489G плашка становится совместимой с прибором Roche LightCycler ® 480. Плашка также совместима с прибором Roche 480 при использовании адаптера B79480.
